Xello Parent/Guardian
Hello Parents,
We are excited to announce our partnership with Xello! Xello is an online program your child is using in school to help them prepare for the future. It offers a variety of activities for 6th through 12th-grade students. These activities help students build self-knowledge, explore their options, and create achievable plans. They develop the 21st-century skills needed to thrive in the world of work.
It’s important for students to take ownership in planning for their future. But the caring adults in their life play an essential supporting role. Use your Xello Family account to see your child’s work in future readiness. Use this opportunity to discuss and support their future goals and plans.
Navigating Your Xello Family Account
After the school district activates your Xello family account, you will receive an email invite that looks similar to this:
**Please note, this email invite will be sent to the email address listed on your Skyward Family Access portal. Email edtech@molineschools.org if you do not receive your email invite.
After you click “Activate Account”, you will be directed to a Xello website to set your password. Below is an example of what the password page will look like:
Once your password is set, Xello will direct you to a portal where you can add your student to your account as shown below. Once your student is added, you can view work completed and access a demo account that will demonstrate how your student progresses in Xello.

Using Xello At Home
Your child was first introduced to Xello in school, but there are lots they can do outside of the classroom. Here are some ideas for how your child can use Xello at home:
- Complete an interactive Lesson. These are activities assigned to your child’s grade level. Lessons help students build vital skills for persistence, resilience, and real-world success.
- Complete an Assignment. Your child's teacher may have created assignments for your child to work on.
- Build their About Me page. The About Me page helps your child to discover more about themselves. They define their interests, skills, and aspirations. Using this self-knowledge, they can explore the opportunities that are right for them.
- Explore Options. They learn about career possibilities and educational pathways. While reading through different career and school profiles, they save their favorites.
