Saving student report cards to their Skyward Portfolio is an essential step in allowing parents access to see them at anytime along with assisting other staff to easily access them in the future. The steps to saving them to the Student Portfolio are below. The process is similar for both Secondary and Standards report cards.
- Make sure all reports are complete.
- Run each class as you normally would to verify all grades have been entered including specialist.
- Once the report cards are set and would be ready to print and send you you will edit the report card template.
- On the template settings towards the bottom, you will see the Report (Secondary) or Printing (Standards) options.
- Check the box to either "Save Report Cards to Student Portfolio" (secondary) or "Post Report Cards to Families/Student Access"
- Once this is checked you Will need to enter a Description. This is what Families will see and also other staff. We recommend naming it something like "2023-24 Final Report card - School name or code"
- By saving this to the portfolio it will allow you or other staff to easily pull the final report card for any student who may transfer over the summer or for reference later.
- If you accidentally run them to the portfolio, but there was a mistake please contact edtech. Edtech can remove all of the report cards by grade level so they can be rerun with the corrections made.
- We are looking into finding a simpler process to add these to SC View as well, but for the current time please save them to the Portfolio until a process is created to save them to SC View without manually having to save each one individually.
If you have any questions or problems doing any of these steps please email edtech@molineschools.org
