This process is for any Moline staff member who has already claimed their account through Rapid Identity and set up Multi-Factor Authentication. To reset a forgotten password still requires you to have access to the multi-factor authentication that was originally set up. This could be a text message code, Google Authenticator code, or Windows Hello.
- Go to https://portal.molineschools.org/
- Enter your username in the username screen. This is everything before the @molineschools.org of your email address
- Click Go
- You will then be prompted to use your multi-factor method. This could be a text code you receive or entering a code from the Google Authenticator app, or your fingerprint from your device
- Once that is entered or confirmed, continue
- The next screen will ask for your password, but it also has a blue link of "Forgot Password?"
- Click "Forgot Password?"
- You will then get prompted one more time for your multi-factor method. It will be a new code sent to you or a new code from the authenticator app.
- Once that is entered or confirmed, you will be able to reset your password.
- Please note this may take up to a minute to take effect at Google and within the district's authentication system of Active Directory
- After a minute can access your Google account with your new password. If you are doing this while not on the Molien district network, your computer may not know the new password until you are back on the network and connected.
- If you have any questions or problems, you can email edtech@molineschools.rog from your personal email account, and we can assist you further or arrange a time to connect with you over the phone.
