Phone System - Voicemail Reset

TO ACCESS YOUR MAILBOX

To access your mailbox from you’re own telephone:

• Dial 5000; wait for voicemail to answer.
• Enter your passcode.
  
  

To access your mailbox from another telephone in the district:

1. Dial 5000; wait for voicemail to answer.
2. Press the * (star) key on the telephone.
3. Enter your mailbox number followed by * (star).----IF YOU DO NOT PRESS STAR THE VM THINKS YOU WANT TO LEAVE A MESSAGE.
4. Enter you passcode.

To access your mailbox from outside the school:

1. Dial your phone number and wait for answer.
2. Press the * (star) key on the telephone.
3. Enter mailbox number followed by * (star). ---- IF YOU DO NOT PRESS STAR THE VM THINKS YOU WANT TO LEAVE A MESSAGE.
4. Enter you passcode.

After accessing your mailbox, you are given 3 options:

1. Press P (7) to play message.
2. 2. Press M (6) to make a message.
3. 3. Press U (8) for user options.
   
   

MANAGING YOUR MAILBOX

1. Access your mailbox.
2. Press U (8) for user options.

You are given 5 options:

1. Press G (4) to change your greeting.
2. Press N (6) to change your name.
3. Press P (7) to change your passcode.
4. Press L (5) to change a distribution list.
5. Press X (9) to exit.

Press G (4) to change/record a Personal Greeting.

1. Press L (5) to listen to your current greeting.
2. Press R (7) to record a new greeting.
3. Press X (9) to exit to main menu.

Press P (7) to change your pass code.

After the voice prompt, enter your new passcode (a 4-10 digit number).

The voice prompt verifies your new passcode, choose from the following Options.

1. Press P (7) to play messages.
2. Press M (6) to make a message.
3. Press U (8) for user options.
4. Press X (9) to exit.

Please note once you change your passcode, only you will know the number. Please do not forget the new number! If you do forget your code, the system administrator will have to reset it back to default.

Press N (6) to record your name.

Recording your name is important for the directory listing, and to assure callers they have reached the correct mailbox.

1. Press L (5) to listen to your name.
2. Press R (7) to record your name.
3. Press X (9) to exit.

TO LISTEN TO MESSAGES (Message waiting lamp on phone will be flashing.)

1. Access your mailbox.   (Voice prompt will say: “You have new messages and  saved messages”)
2. Press P (7) to play message. (You must listen to the new messages before listening to any saved messages.

During or after playback of each message, choose from the following options:

1. Press P (7) to play.
2. Press G (4) to give message to another user.
3. Press K (5) to keep message (copies to the saved message mailbox.)
4. Press D (3) to discard.

In addition to the above options, listed below are a number other ways to handle messages during or after listening to them:

Press 1 to Pause/resume (pause is only for 30 seconds).

Press # (pound) to forward message within the message.

Press * (star) to move back within the message.

Press 8 to skip to your next message.

Press 8* (8 star) to go back to the beginning of you previous message.

QUICK MESSAGE

To leave someone a message without having to ring their telephone:

1. Access the your voicemail box
2. Press M (6) to make a message.
3. Enter the extension number to whom you are sending the message.
4. Record your message
5. Hang up or Press * (star) when finished recording-this allows you to

Press R (7) to review

Press D (3) to discard and rerecord

Press A (1) to Append

Press X (9) to send message and exit to previous menu
